Name: Laker Hon. Paul J Martin, Johnstown, 22 Aug 2014 .jpg
Views: 247
Size: 97.1 KBCaught this morning, the Laker Hon. Paul J Martin docking at Johnstown, The top two shots show it lining up to be parallel to the pier. The bottom two show the laker inching in perfectly parallel to and just a few feet away from the wharf. The laker is basically a 740 foot by 78 foot wide steel box, and there is about a five mile current at the bridge. Talk about incredable skill

Cool. Especially after having just visited the Welland canal with the big ships. With that perspective you wonder about the ship actually making it under the bridge.
I notice that the name of the ship is the Hon Paul J. Martin. I sure there is no coincidence with it being the Canadian Steamship Lines.
