Breaking the rules

For this shot I wanted to go wide (10mm) and I wanted to get the man in the photo. At 10mm the only way to avoid getting right in his face was to explore some alternative angles. I was quite pleased with this one even though (maybe because?) it is a little unorthodox. I wasn't sure if others would appreciate it, so I posted it on Flickr and got some positive feedback from 2 people whose opinions I value (Thanks MattK & MBrager), so thought I would share it here. Much as I dislike grafitti (I associate it with lots and lots of problems in the neighborhood) this is colorful and well executed.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I do like the play.
Colours are fab.

The angle really brings the grafitti into the scene more-so than the individuals. Def a different play, but I like it.

I'm kind of on the fence with this one. As HBG said "The angle really brings the grafitti into the scene more-so than the individuals", however somehow the angle doesn't work for me.

Really like this one. The lines leaving the corners, wonderful light in the rear, and splendid colors throughout are all wonderful...to me, anyway.

Thanks all for thoughtful comments. I did expect that this wouldn't appeal to everyone. It is easy to sit on the fence when looking at something you aren't sure about or simply don't like, so I especially appreciate the feedback from those who don't find this to their tastes.
