    Default Grotesque

We took Mom to the Boise Depot on Monday. It's open Sundays and Mondays, and the docents will take the elevator up to the bell tower (unfortunately, there's bird netting on all the openings to keep the pigeons out). These are a result of being there at the right time - I'd seen them lit, and thought it was interesting that they'd put lights under this. Then I came around the bench next to it (they're kinda big, and you can't see around them) and realized it was actually the sun through one of the high windows bouncing off the floor.

Like the lighting/shadows, especially on that first one Quiet One. Very nice sharp detail captured
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

I'm with HBG. I think the lighting and shadows really add to the first one.

Thanks. I did shoot from the other side, too, but of the 3 angles, I liked the first one best. I'm figuring Mom will like the second.

Thanks, Runmonty. The sandstone helps a lot. The depot is a neat place to wander anyway. I need to go back one of these days, on a sunny Monday, and see if I can do a long exposure of the rafter beams. They're decorated.
