I like both shots as well - but shot 1 is more faithful to the scene.

Jas u are so right! I already looked like a freak lying in the middle of this medium trafficked space. Loads of people were checking me out but that doesn't bother me or rush me anymore.
I stayed on my back for about 20 minutes and moved (maybe 6 inches at a time) a few times to position the building at different angles in the camera while watching/waiting the sky fill up with more clouds.

A tripod would have made the framing easier but changing its position (for different angles) from my position wasn't practical. So yup - my forehead was the tripod.

After I knew I had a decent shot - I stayed there an additional 5 minutes and soaked it all in visually - It was a magical experience actually.
