At the 50th anniversary of the Bathurst 1000 race in Oct we were constantly buzzed by helicopters going about their business. Camera work, Police, Tourist flights etc.
I'll start with this one hanging a race car beneath it and flying around the circuit several times. The reason ... this car was, on this day, very special to most Aussie motor racing fans. It's special paint job for the big race was in the style of one our greatest ever drivers ... Peter "Brocky" Brock, who died a few years ago doing what he loved most, racing. The livery is taken from some of Peter's most successful years in the sport, the late 70's and early 80's.
The driver of the car is Craig Lowndes whom Brocky took under his wing many moons ago and claimed he would be his successor. He was right.
