First, Welcome to the board, Artboy!!!

It is better when doing a critique thread to only do one or two images at a time, but I will give it a try:

#1 - It would have been the best if it was in focus, nicely framed and level. I would have moved the chair out of the frame.

#2 - As a former electrician, I can relate to this image. The image tells a great story. The lighting is too harsh with the straight forward flash.

#3 - The best of the lot. Maybe over exposed, but nice find.

#4 - I like this one as well. There is something not right about it, just slightly out of focus or you tried a HDR effect and something didn't go right. I would have removed the yellow tubing at the bottom right.

#5 - Would have been a great find but it is underexposed.

You have some nice finds here, just need to work on basics, exposure, comp, etc.

    I love everything you said!

At #4, you're absolutely right. The tubing at the bottom seems really out of place.

I am a chemical process operator at a larger world wide chemical company. I see a ton of stuff I would love to photograph at work but because of Homeland Security and company secrets, photographs are illegal. We have a ton of deer in our site, and they have had people fired and questioned by the Coast Guard (law enforcement of our plant) just for taking pictures with a cell phone of a deer.

I was surprised you were allowed to take these shots.
