    Default Griffiths Mine (abandoned)

Went out to the old Griffiths mine north of town for the afternoon and had a good session. (Lots to shoot besides just the mine). Its an old open pit mine which is flooded now (too bad) and most of the structures are gone with one exception. Not sure what it is/was but had fun with it.
I think this could be real fun at sunrise/sunset!

Where do you live? If you don't mind me asking. I used to reside in Red Lake.

    Hey kat.
I live in Thunder Bay but travel extensively in the region with my job. I have spent the last few months working on new bridge over the Manitou chute on Hwy #804 so most of my posts have been in the area here. I' ve up around Red Lake, Cochenour and Mackenzie Island as well over the years. I used to look forward to Sunday breakfast brunch at the the Red Lake hotel (where I ate far too much!!) and the deep fried perogies at the Howie Bay! Nice to here from someone who recognizes the pics!

Fabulous structure! - I could see it used as an alien building in a Stargate or other Sci-Fi episode. Love the time of day you chose to shoot it - with the diagonal shadow lines on it's side.

A cool set, Aub. Really like the sharp angles. Nice.
