Sydney Opera House at Dawn

This is a discussion on Sydney Opera House at Dawn within the Architecture & Man Made (cities, buildings, roads, objects & abstracts) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; I had to get up pretty early to get in position for this shot of the Sydney Opera House...

I like the way the bridge acts as a backdrop. The light is nice too. I'm kinda thinking a contrast boost might make it sing a little more if you don't mind me saying.

    I agree with Iggy.
Also I believe the opera house is white. On my monitor it is no where near white. It might just be the morning light giving it that colour, or the white balance may be off a bit. (I suppose also it could be my monitor as I haven't calibrated it in a couple of months)

Thanks, I welcome the critique. As for the color, this is golden hour colors. The sun is low and red at this point. I personally thought the image had a bluish cast due to the reflection from the water. In any case, you reminded me to get one of those monitor calibration things!

There are times when the colour cast by the setting/rising sun should be corrected and there are times when it should be left alone. I believe this is a time to leave it alone. It creates such a wonderful mood.
