    Default Historic St Gabriel, LA

This is a small historic town just 5 minutes from my house. They have the greatest old time country general store. Here is a website for the store Photo Gallery

The church was built in 1774

***edit*** - I am embarrassed, I did not see my finger in the frame of the first image I would edit and re-post, but it does not look good cropped and I don't have another shot like this in color****

wow loads of images... I'll take a punt at this one:

I like the back and white treatment, it helps de-clutter the complexity of the shot. The sharpness across the image is great, and although the shot is a little dark, I like this because it shows off the lights and allows them to glow. I'm not a fan of the inclusion of the person in the bottom left of frame, because they appear as a dark blob because of the overall exposure. oh and the contrast level across the shot is nice.

I was a little wary about the dark figure in the bottom left as well. I am not much of an editor yet, but I did lighten her and darken the glass case a little

One more edit to one of the shots above. I didn't care for the dark area at the bottom right

I agree with Richards comments entirely.

I also like that 5th shot in Post #2 as well ... nice composition and exposure there.

There's way too many photos to critique though mate. You are best to choose one or two so people can concentrate on them and give more in-depth critique if they have it.

OK, I will do that. I will edit the title to this one and start a thread in critiques on my favorite 2
