Second one for me, please. Just love those reflections, the colour of them and the whole composition ... great job!

Very nice! I really like the 2nd one as well.
Thanks Matt and Aub. This was an outing from my camera club but boy we had to work to get these pictures. Nobody checked to discover that there was an Indian festival on the Island that day. Going over on the ferry was no problem, however the place was packed when we got there at 8:30pm. Their had been a concert earlier and they were tearing down the stage. A security guard wouldn't let us cross the frirst bridge. We have to take almost a kilometer detour across another bridge through the dark to the opening in the trees to oet our first pictures (Numbers 1 and 3). We we were about half way through taking our pictures when a security guard chased us away from that spot (for no good reason). We then had to walk all the way back and past the ferry dock to another spot where we got the rest of our shots including the second one above. We then had to line up like cattle for two hours to get the ferry back to the mainland about midnight and there was still a huge lineup behind us. The last ferry was scheduled for 11:45 so I guess they had to run them a lot later to get everybody off the island. Summer in the city is not necessarily fun. I was really starting to envy Hillbillygirl.
Those are gorgeous shots. I love the colour in the second one but the first one is my favourite here. I wonder what it would like with just a hint of the water showing so it was more like a panorama type shot.
Thanks Iggy. I tried your idea. Here's what it looks like.
A nice set! The colours in 2 are obviously rather nice (bit of a tilt though ) but I think I also prefer the understated colours in 1 and 3. It seems a shame to crop the swans in 1, but I guess they are a bit too far away from the shoreline.
Thanks Thoughton. The coloured one is sightly tilted. The shoreline does move away a bit so it will not be horizontal, however I thought I had made it where the CN tower (tall spire) was vertical but checking again it was off just a bit. The one thing I did like about the first one was the birds in the foreground. Maybe they are a bit far from the shore. Will have to think about it some more before deciding on my final version.
I love the crop. Others may disagree but it's my favourite when cropped like that. Great set regardless.
great shots! Seeing these almost makes me want to go back to the big smoke...almost!
