    Default Fireworks Dahlonega Style

We had our annual show tonight and while I did not get any breathtaking shots over the city skyline or water I did really set out to try and capture them using new techniques on the camera. Namely bulb mode and total manual controls and manual focus. So looking at these, any tips on making them better? I now composition would be the first, was battling street lights in parking lot where we at though.

This is my favorite of the night.

Ha! That happy face is awesome.

I'd offer advice but I'm afraid I haven't shot that many fireworks yet and so I really don't feel qualified. :(

These are quite nice for sure!
    For additional play,
    - I'd say experiment w/longer exposures to get more ambient light in some shots.
    - Include other non-fireworks details in the shot (if possible)

    Thanks!

    Here is the data

    ISO 100
    F-10
Shutter was bulb and averaged around 3 seconds
    Focal length was around 22mm
camera was sitting on a tripod next to my chair about knee high just aimed in the general direction.

I agree with other details in the shot, our seats though were in the same parking lot they were launching them from. Plus with the topography of our town between the hills and trees it's hard to get a unobstructed view. Next year I am hoping to make a show that they do down on the lake in a few towns over.
