This was my first attempt at shooting anything at night, and it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be, not the sharpest picture but was the best one I got last night.

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.

Very good start. I think with night pictures you need a really steady tripod to get them sharp. A couple of other things I've heard about longer exposures.
- Lock up the mirror as it can cause some movement
- Set long exposure noise reduction.
I havn't actually tried this things so maybe others that have can comment.
That first shot is a nice scene. You got some nice flare there using a small aperture (high fstop).
Love the first one! I never get tired of a nice night scene.
Very nice on the first shot Turns.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
