I like the play here Bambi! very dramatic mood.
For me, I think this shot would have been improved had you used a reflector to bounce some light back into the almost pure black or very dark areas.
i feel silly here but I'm really not sure what i'm looking at. They look like pies made of wood to me.....mmmmmm pie.

I totally disagree with Marko on this one. Any reflection of light would spoil what you created here for me. I love the fact we struggle to see what these are even though we can clearly see them, if you know what I mean. I would have cloned out that bit to the right of shot I think though.
So what are they? Pizza stones for wood fired pizza's?
thanks boys.
Marko, I don't have a reflector (I know I know, it's on the list!). However, when I saw it I loved the way the light was playing on the discs.
MA- I see what you are saying about the right side. I thought about cropping it out but loved the texture of the wood.
As for what they are, I think that they are barrel bottoms or perhaps buckets. It was in the Cooper shop at the heritage farm I was at. They make barrels and buckets the 'old fashioned way'.
