I used one of those red lasers to light the bulb while then using a blue pen light to illuminate the area around it during a long exposure.
A good attempt.
This is really hard to do well just so you know...and by no means am I expert at this but...
1 - It might well be easier not to mix light sources so that one effect doesn't drown out the other
2 - be really aware about everything else in the shot that may not receive enough light.
