I've got two version of this "Fire Fairy":
Which one would you prefer?
I like 'em both! But I'd give the nod to the second for it's softness in this case as it gives you a "fairytale feel" to the image.

Wonderful. Especially like the second one, it is superb! Really really like the treatment on it. Having the figurine tack sharp and softening the environment. Great job. Very well done.

I prefer shot 2 as well even though it looks more like mixed media than photography to my eye.

The fractillius filter certainly makes the 2nd shot look more 'fairytale' but I prefer shot 1. That's me though ... I rarely lean towards 'artography' or mixed media type images when there's a real photographic choice available.
