This rock eagle sits at the start of someones driveway. I thought it was fun and worthy of a photo. It's in the town of Eaglehawk Neck on the Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania.
now I would have thought that that was an owl! either way it's nice folk art.

Cool. Looks like an owl to me too. I like these kinda things. It reminds me of the tree sculptures I found.
Yeh I thought it looked like an owl too but seeing as we were in Eaglehawk Neck I figured it must be an eagle and you work with what you have when it comes to large rocks on your driveway Someone up the road had one also but not as colourful but probably a bit more eagle-like. Maybe they are starting a trend in that area.
