There's a reason why I don't try my hand at things with wings. I can't seem to get them to look like anything other than snapshots or text book illustrations.
My hat's off to those few that can present them in a more artful manner.

awsome shot! we have one on our island behind the house but the place where he sits is now blocked by a houseboat docked.

That is an excellent shot Barefoot, with nice DOF, and quite sharp. Nice to capture him roosted.
(only critique, IMO, is maybe brighten it up a bit)
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
I think it's a wonderful shot!
