Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
WOW, you must have really hunkered down, camouflage netting over you and the whole works? What an amazing capture ...
Tell me, what focal length was that? Just curious.

Actually, you will not believe this. We pulled up in car at a local Warbler hangout and saw several of these guys. Got out of car, set up tripods, cameras etc. on road, and they just flew around us as if we were not even there. First time for us. We did have our camo clothing on though.
I think this one was with the 300mm f2.8L with 2x tc attached, if I'm not mistaken.

Truly amazing. We have a place in Calgary where you can sit down and deer will come within 10 feet of you and stare at you. Greg took an image of one deer breathing into my lens last winter, not sure if he shared it on here.
Wow, that gives you 600mm focal length. Quite some reach. More reason for me to save my pennies for a longer lens. Currently I am limited to a 70-200 zoom lens. It's a great lens, but just does not have the reach I would want to have for bird photography.

A couple of more great bird shots, HBG.
Great shots of beautiful cedar waxwings, I guess they are.
Thanks everyone, and yes they are actually Cedar Waxwing adults feeding their larger, (fatter), young.
