    I had a Kingfisher do that once. It was amazing. AntZ was with me thatday too. If we backed away just 1 metre ... in she'd fly to feed the brood and take off and go get more yummies. If we moved just that 1 metre forward, no way in hell was she going to the nest!
    Her safe distance seemed to be about 7 metres from memory.

    I did a quick look around but couldn't see a nest, Thought I might try some chick pics while mom was worming

    Cool capture, MAW. I haven't done much birding...I'm thinking it'll be easier after I get the zoom lens I'm saving up for. It's really hard to get a good shot of a bird with a 18-55
