For Michaelaw, the wood duck at the pond

He's still around. It's a good news/bad news sort of thing, though. Those look like healed puncture wounds on his breast, as if something caught him. He isn't trying to fly anymore. So he's alive, but it looks to me like he'll be one of the permanent residents at the pond (there are several geese in the same boat). Hope that soothes the mother hen in you.

Thanks...That gives me hope, that we as a species, are not totally insane, the fact that there are ponds that fall within park zones populated by people that ward off the bulk of predators so the unfortunate can live is a comforting thought
