    Default Bird On A Wire

Got a couple shots of the tree swallows while they were sitting still, which is a rarity. I am really starting to like this 300 F2.8L lens more and more, everytime I use it.

Thanks Bambi. These birds sre beautiful specimens for sure.
As for the background. Would you believe it is a fallow field of grasses? This lens just creates amazingly smooth bokeh. I am definitely very pleased with it.

Thanks everyone for the compliments, but they are beauties to begin with, and that helps. Hard part is getting the eye detail.
EdG: I am shooting with my new 300mm F2.8L glass. This is one of Canons sharpest lenses and handles a 1.4X TC very well, and quite passable even with a 2X. Definitely an excellent choice IMO, my new favourite lens. Then again, I am off to get the new 100m f2.8L IS macro today, so who knows.

Ouch, sounds like some serious coin being dropped - but the images show the quality of the tool, as well as the skill of the eye.

Tree swallows, one of my favorite birds. For some reason they remind me of flying angels. Beautiful captures Hillbillygirl - jimmy

Thanks JJJ. I also love seeing these birds in flight. The barn swallows just showed up today, so hopefully get some in-flights over the ponds.
