Jaguar... and not the XK...

This is a discussion on Jaguar... and not the XK... within the Animals (mammals, birds, insects etc.) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; the jaguar at Woodland Park actually offered a photo op yesterday... shot through glass, so not the clearest image i've ...

    Default Jaguar... and not the XK...

    the jaguar at Woodland Park actually offered a photo op yesterday... shot through glass, so not the clearest image i've ever taken, but it came out okay considering the reflections and the finger- and noseprints all over the glass! 40D, 100-400 @ 180mm, 1/250 @ f/8...

    Cool shot indeed. I've shot Tigers through glass ... Cheetahs without glass ... but not a Jaguar.

    I think maybe I spotted one of the smudges you mentioned. Other than that, I'd never guess this beauty was behind glass. Great shot.

    top center, just above kitty's head? actually a bit of reflection i couldn't quite get rid of, at least not without a lot of messing about...
