    This pair was really quite tolerant of me and the camera which is uncommon. I got off a lot of shots before leaving them be.
    Beautiful birds they are....







    Added bonus...sure sign of spring when these guys start popping their heads out!
    I had to crawl on my belly to get a fairly close shot. He popped in his hole but kept sticking his head out to watch me....lol.

    Yup it's a gopher...they hibernate underground in winter...when the weather warms they start poking their head out. Nice to see them yesterday. And thanks for the comments MA!
