Ok, so I just got a new toy and decided to test it out.... these were shot through my living room window.

Thanks JAS, now I know what kind of birds they are....I never remember seeing them before.
Bambi - I just snagged a old Canon 70-210mm F/4 off of Ebay in mint shape for dirt cheap. So far, I am pretty impressed

How old is it Crystal? I had one of those years ago on my film camera ... my T50 and later a T90 I think they were. It was a great lens. Does it have the focus rings in the lens that you see through the viewfinder?
Once you figure out you focus (these shots are a little out of focus) you'll get some nice shots. It takes a little while to get used to shooting steady with such a lens sometimes.
As far as I can tell, it's the one from the late 80's. These are the first pics right out of the box, it was at the lowest apeture, hand held and autofocused. I don't remember seeing the focus rings through the viewfinder, but I didn't look too hard. I'll check again.
I am hoping with a bit of practice, it will turn out to be a good lense for me...
