I was just about to post that a vertical crop to eliminate the ass in front of him might work well and as I scrolled down to answer ...there it was ... you'd already thought of it. I think that works!
I like the crop you did Casil. I have to admit, I'm also like Iguansan and tend to keep just about everything unless it's just an awful, out of focus, utterly ugly shot.

the last crop is the best of the lot. you got good focus on the goose in question, but personally, i'd prefer to see a lot more room in the frame in all of them. birds in flight need someplace to "fly to" in the frame... some empty space in front of them to keep things from looking cramped.
