I think it was hit by a car
I very nearly hit a little possum last night while looking at Christmas lights.
I'm not surprized that red tailed hawk (???) didn't move ... he has got himself the best meal he's had all year!
Looks like a very suitable chrismas dinner for the great bird.
Listen, three eyes, don't you try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.
The cycle of life with the help of a car...

First off...EWWWWW! Great capture! Even to the tongue hanging out of its mouth!
I think my critique won't help much as you can't (shouldn't) change the scene. I would want that road out of there..so that it wasn't so much road kill but nature dead.
Maybe a tighter focus? More of the animals less of the environment?
