    Default Northern Flicker

    This fella has moved into my hood! For those who've never heard the flicker call, it's ...Loud! I've heard him for days but today spotted him/her on a tree roughly sixty feet off my deck. I think they're beautiful, loud but striking just the same. This is roughly a 50% crop but you can see the noisy little bugger quite clearly. It never ceases to amaze me how many wild birds choose to call this urban neighborhood home

    These are one of my fave birds... I've yet to get a good shot of them cuz they're quite shy!
