    Default Cathydid ?

    Someone told me this little insect of the grasshopper family was a "Cathydid".
    It sure is well equipped to hide in the leaves.

    Lots of wonderful green colour there!

    I think the word is Katydid... I don't think Cathy had anything to do with it

    Thanks for the comments Iguanasan... and, of course, the correction. Evidently you are right, Cathy was not even around and the right word is KATYDID.

    Just as additional information I forgot to include with my first post.
    This picture was taken hand held with a Nikon D90 18-55MM kit lens. f/5.6, 1/160 lens zoomed at max (55MM), no flash.
    The composition could have been better given more time... This little guy did not stay put very long.
