Default Momma Bear and Baby Bears

We took a trip out to the mountains yesterday and came across this very healthy and very large beautiful Black Momma bear and her two 2 year old cubs. Sorry it's not as sharp as I would have liked but that's as close as I was willing to get to a Mother Black Bear with babies with my zoom lens....safety first right? As it was she gave me "the Look" a few times and I didn't want to disturb her or have any kind of encounter.

Kind of made me sad to see them feeding on the train tracks...they eat the grain dropped by passing freight trains and it eventually leads to their demise as they end up getting hit by passing trains while attempting an easy meal.
We have lost far to many grizzlies and black bears in this manner in the National Parks to the point where the grizzlies are threatened... :cry-an:

I guess it does play with your nerves a bit when Momma Bear gives you the look ! Interesting capture anyway. Thanks for sharing.
