I really went out to test my new 50mm f2 macro lens but came home with mostly Geese...Go figure!

I like the 3rd and 4th ones. The 3rd one shows great detail even in the beak and the 4th is simply a bit different from the std bird portrait.

Thanks MA...I like #4 because I never knew before today that when their eyes are closed the feathers in that area are white. I'm guessing it's to fool predators into thinking the eyes are open when they're asleep

I am happy that I own it because it opens up a new area for me to play in. Seeing as how I've had it for about twenty hours during eight of which I was asleep it's hard to say if I''m happy with the lens. I took all sorts of stupid shots with it when I got home from work last night, a battery, printing on a CD, a few "I'm too tired to move far but I wanna try my lens " shots. It seems to work well
