This is one I took last week with MA and LeAngel before we went to the beach to shoot kite surfers.
I haven't seen guys out of the water like this that often, and when I have they usually make a hasty retreat to the water. I managed to get quite close to him before he went for a swim. Pretty tough shooting condition as it was mid afternoon with the light coming from the other side, plus reflecting off the water.

Have you got a speedlite flash? If so you underestimate it. I hit a kingfisher easily at 10 metres this arvo ... you were closer than that

This photo is almost monochromatic, have ou ever tried converting it to black and white?
