Would have been nice to get closer to this Osprey but unfortunately that wasn't to be. I'll have to get back there and join him for breakfast again soon.
It's just grabbed a decent sized fresh water mullet I think?

Very cool MA...I love watching ospreys, especially when they dive into the water to fish.

Yeh, I'm dying to get THAT shot. The moment it hits the water, fish being dragged out of the water in a spray of droplets, bird of prey staring right into the lens! I'll probably never get it, but I'll never stop hoping and looking for it.
I have actually got a few shots of the Osprey hitting the water but none were keepers. :(
Awesome ... reminds me of a true story!
My sister lives near a lake and one time was leaving the house and a fish (trout) dropped from right out of the sky and landed flopping in the middle of her driveway about 3 meters away from her. Turns out it belonged to a bald eagle who dropped it after being harassed by several crows. Baldie then flew down right in front of her to pick it back up then took off with it!
...talk about wishing you had a camera at that moment!
