Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!
i really like the trailling water! is it shot like this, or did you crop out any water on the bottom from the lake/pond? i think it might make more sense if you could see that, but it is implied, so it works anyways.
Wow is right. Great shot Michealaw! How many frames per second were you shooting when you took this shot?
Cheers

Beautiful!
I did crop but on the horizontal. It was one of those shots that one tries to plan for so when she bolts you'll be ready with the right shutter speed to capture her but then the AF has a hard time locking and you lose your comp for a second and BAM!!! Your shot is compromised from your original plan. When you get the duck back in comp the autofocus is in trouble again. The duck ended up in the top right corner of the shot with her wingtip dangerously close to being out of frame. A really good shot for me would have been an inclusion of the water she just left plus more room extending horizontally out from either wing
Thanks for the comments everyone
Very well done, Michael. More please.
Very well done indeed - that trailing 'water' is really duck pee though isn't it?
