    Jealous! I can never get close to Herons or Egrets! Good shot too!

    i rarely see cool birds here. :-( sparrows, robins and crows are the mainstay...

    btw - i tried to do some sharpening and still have big issues. i want sooooo bad to produce the results you have...maybe i will start a help thread in general photog...instead of here... yes, that is what i will do.

    Thought this may help you on your quest. It was a very overcast day and normally I'd be at ISO 200 but I expected him to bolt and I wanted to catch that so I wanted a high shutter speed. As it was he bolted about three feet and I never got any in flights
