River Banks Zoo

It was sunny and 75º here today, so I packed my mess and headed to Riverbanks Zoo. We sprang for the family membership back in July and I haven’t been back since. There were four new lion cubs there at the time that the members of the camera club were getting some good shots of, so I wanted to try my hand. As luck would have it, they wouldn’t cooperate that day. Maybe at temps close to 105º it was too hot because I never even got a glimpse of them.

I was thinking that maybe after the severe cold snap we had last week that the warm day might bring some of the critters to life and I wanted to be there if it did. I’m happy to say I got some pretty good shots of everything but the tigers.
