Just a fabulous image. I really appreciate the thought that went into this. Get the exposure right is one thing, but also the timing to make a good composition and the birds wing spread like with the sun in just the right spot.

I've been telling people for years to use their flashes for birds and wildlife ... works for me

You say you used a flash. How far away was the bird. I would have thought it would have been outside of flash range.
