Number one for me too.
Great shots. I think you can see her speckeled egg in shot #3. The killdeers around my house like to lay there eggs on the walking path I use. As you walk by sometimes they act injured to lure you away from the nest. They are quite entertaining.

(Killdeer gets its name by the call it makes. Sounds like it is saying "kill deer" over and over repeatedly).
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
Wonderful in flight shot, Mike. Those are quite peculiar birds. I watched as one male tried to fend off a gopher from his three youngens and his wife while at Buffalo Lake. Of course I went for a walk with the wife, and not with the camera
