Coastal sightings

This is a discussion on Coastal sightings within the Animals (mammals, birds, insects etc.) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; Just bummed around the gold coast of florida this morning. Wasn't alot going on but I did get these shots....

    Just bummed around the gold coast of florida this morning. Wasn't alot going on but I did get these shots.

    That second one has lovely light and wonderful reflections. You'll want to work on the over-exposed hot spots a bit. Excuse me if you've mentioned it before but what camera are you using? I really like all the wildlife you've found here.

    I'm shooting with a Nikon D-90. I'm not well versed in photo terminology, when you say hot spots or save the whites, are you talking about the little white bird that's not defined?

    Love that second one. I think Iggy and Marko are referring to the blown out whites in the two birds.

    Very nice eye for composition Bandit. Really like that 2nd shot with the Egrets and Heron, with the reflections and contrast.

    Yes, you are losing detail within the whites on this shot as they are way too "hot"
    Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
