Went to the Bow Valley Provincial Park in Alberta. Came to a place called "Many Springs", a basin featuring over a thousand springs, fed from the nearby mountains. From a little floating lookout I spotted this butterfly, who was caught in the water. Trying to escape its certain death, the butterfly fought to get off the water, thereby creating ripples on the waters surface. With the polarizing filter those ripples are reflected on the bottom of the pond. You can see the butterfly's shadow in the middle of the concentric circles. Even the texture of the bottom is interesting ....
