Cranes In The Marsh

    Here are a couple Sandhill Cranes in the marsh South from us.

    Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

    gorgeous. what terrifically stealthy coloring they have. I don't think we get any cranes up this way, just herons and the occasional egret. I'm a sucky bird photographer though, so don't expect any pictures.

    Thanks a lot to all for the kind compliments, glad you enjoyed them.
    These cranes are about the height of a Great Blue Heron, but the body is much bigger, especially with the "bustle" on the tail end.
    Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
