They have single-handedly wiped out whole islands of any, and all vegetation with their excrement. It is very acidic. I have seen many first hand and it is not pretty at all. They are now colonizing and destroying island vegetation in the Thousand Islands area, and Algonquin Park. They also eat 1 pound of fish a day, so fishermen hate them also.
