I must have been cold since most of my image suffered from shake so this is the best I have of our moose encounter.
This is a discussion on Hope Matt did better within the Animals (mammals, birds, insects etc.) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; I must have been cold since most of my image suffered from shake so this is the best I have ...

That's quite a fine looking animal and nicely captured. Maybe you were shaking from fear? I would want him chasing me!
cold or not cold, scared or not scared it's a good image. a tad dark on my screen, but looks sharp and I want to nuzzle those fuzzy ears. well, not really, but they look inviting.
Well, here is my take, and yes, it was cold. So cold, in fact, that Greg did not even see that moose as we drove by. Only my alert and keen eyes (muahhahhahhhahh) made me stop the car. Took all I could muster on those slippery roads (muahahhahhahhahaa).

It was early morning, cold, wind blowing miserable ... and yes, I did not warm it up a lot. Besides, there was little light. I like Greg's toning better.
