Thanks Casil and Iggy...It was bath time for the local gulls at the lake so there was much activity but the sun was getting low and my shutter speed was going with it. I couldn't get above 400th of a sec and I knew I couldn't freeze the action. I pushed the D300s ISO up to 800 and took the aperture down to 5.6. That setup allowed me to go to 2000th of a sec. The light wasn't ideal, strong and low, the result of a 3pm winter sun. Maybe next time I'll try a little fill flash. I also was hoping the Gull would produce more water droplets in the air. I Like the light play in its feathers
Very nicely captured MAW. Love the wing position in this, and the motion caught in the water.
Most don't realize how hard it really is to capture gulls on the wing.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
