Your starlings are more colorful than ours in Ontario. The title is very appropriate. Nice job!

Cool shot, and love the title. Very well captured.
They sure can be beautiful in the right light, for such a disrespected species.

If it were mine, I might consider cropping the left side until the beige door (if it is a door). That way my eye goes right toward the bird's eye instead of instinctively to the intersection of the beige door and the bluish background. Just a thought... Cool image either way.
    Best! Marko
Very nice shot, Iggy, for sure .. agree with Marko, though ... needs a little cropping

Those are colourful starlings. I'm used to seeing plain black ones.
Also I think it's number one in line. He looks guilty.

ah...another invasive species. I like watching them though...the way they stalk around the lawn, stabbing into the dirt. Good shot.

Thanks for the kudos and the edit suggestions. Thanks to Google maps and Streetview I can show you what I was working with. In this image the birds were lined up on the back of the bench in the small red circle. The background in the image can be seen where the big red circle is. Wanting to keep the same ratios, etc., I'd have to do some serious editing to get rid of the door (dark spot) and keep a uniform light tan wall behind them.

Get up close and personal with these fellows to see colour. I've always thought they were black too. It has only been the last little while of shooting them that I noticed the are quite often flecked with green.

European starling have two color combos - the speckled feathers with dark beak is non-breeding, mostly dark feathers with a sheen of color and a yellow beak is what they wear when they're gettin' busy.
