All the hiking I do to find hawks, I have this Coopers Hawk land in my neighbors back yard. How quickly all the other birds take off when the hawk is around.

I really like #2. The green background and light grey fence make a nice background. I suspect the birds fly away due to this: Isolate The Most Powerful Moment « Photofocus (not for the squeamish)

In photo#3, the hawk was looking onto the ground at a squirrel.

Ok, then. A dead squirrel is a good squirrel especially if it's bird food!

Nice shot...not a very old one due to the yellow eye. It sure is a beauty though and lovely to have hanging around.
