This is a discussion on Green Catbird within the Animals (mammals, birds, insects etc.) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; Thanks EdG...
We have catbirds here...they are grey with red bums. They have the same kind of call but are super hard to find because they like to hide in thick dense thicket. Most often times you here them rather than see them.

Well going by the call and habit, they are the same species. That's the first Catbird I've ever remotely gotten a good look at. Even then I had no idea until I took the photo what it might have been. Without the flash I'd have never known. Didn't even realize they were so green!
These our ours. I took this last year and the only reason I got a good shot of him is because I mimicked his call and he came out of hiding to check me out. Even flashed me his bum which according to the bird book is a mating posture!! Nice to see at least someting was turned on by my presence!

Beautiful pic MA, and so much more vibrant than our grey Catbirds.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
Thanks HBG.
Just looked up the Catbird in our book and we definitely don't get those grey ones of yours Casil. I didn't get a mating posture from mine so you must be more attractive
really cute Casil. Did you flash him back?
