Both are beautiful!
Both are great! The second one stands out just a smidge more only because of the sunlight in his eye.
both are great, but I'm with Iggy, re #2.

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
Both are VERY strong - love em
I think I'll disagree here - Although the eye is better in shot 2 and I'm usually all about the eye, the extra (sharp) details in the bird's face and profile in shot one give it the edge imho. Whichever one u choose though...good choice

Have to say #1 here also for reasons already said. More fine detail in the birds feathers, and I like the profile shot for such a majestic creature also.
P.S.( Only one nitpick- You should have reached right in there and flicked that spec off just above the eye though.)
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
