Remnants of 2009
as we get closer to spring I found these remnants of last year:
Rosehips against the ice in the lake

As I was walking back at sunset I saw this glow from the forest. It was this old oak leaf catching the light. I had time to click off a few snaps before the sun sunk too far down.

Oh that's a ripper shot Bambi!!! Very nice!
-
thanks Casil and MA.
MA- which one is the 'ripper'???
-
I think MA is talking about the last shot. Ripper! I copy that as well.
-
You know ... I never even saw the 1st shot! It must have been slow loading for me or something?
So yes ... the 2nd shot.
The rosehips shots I've seen have never done anything for me to be honest ... but, that one isn't bad at all :)

I agree with you MA. Ive never really seen a good shot of those. Not that this is a bad shot. Its good, just doesnt have that WOW factor. I have always kept my eyes open looking for a good shot of these but I have not been impressed yet. A very tough subject, but a challenge still. I find myself trying to get pictures of them, but I usually delete them 5 minutes after I take a picture because I cant even impress myself.

thanks all
And I get what you are saying about the Rosehips. I like this one though I agree it's not WOW. but at this point of the year there's not a lot of colour so I take what I can get. I'll keep pegging away at the Rosehips. :)

Bambi, I agree with you. I wasnt saying I didnt like it. I do like the image but it is what it is, and really isnt done much justice by being posted with the second image. I think it might get a little more respect if posted by itself but that second image is taking all the credit.
