Living in a Snow Globe

Wow, I just got up and looked out the window and this is what I saw! I've always wanted to do a "Snow Globe" series, so maybe this will be the perfect opportunity! :fingerscr

I lived in Edmonton for 8 years. When I combine my memories with your images I get the sudden urge to have a really hot bath:) I sure don't miss that snow, or the minus 37 temps.

If it was any other year, I would agree but this year has been so warm. In September, the temp was in the 20s (plus, not minus!) and during November, it hardly went below 0! It didn't even snow until early December :eek: Guess that's global warming for ya...

my mother in law lives in edmonton, and the 2 times we were down to visit her this winter were FREEZING!! it was always a blizzard, crap roads and -30 the whole week we spent there at christmastime... maybe we just had bad timing if you think you had an easy winter! but dont worry - i looked out to see the same thing as your above pictures this morning, 6 hours north of Edmonton too. at least it was only -7, but with the windchill it felt more like -25. poor hubby was outside working in it all day too! thought the snowflakes might make for a good "wind" photo, but didnt crack out the cam today.

Very discouraging. And I lost my gloves a few weeks back too. So when I was taking some pictures the other day (the "mars" ones), my fingers were frozen! Sooo cold. But it was worth it :)

Heh heh. I wasn't here for winter breaks (vacationing in Dubai!) but I heard about that! Normally, it is like that during December but I was surprised to hear about it since it's been so mild.
