I was on my way to pick up a couple of fried turkeys with a little time on my hands, so I stopped by the swamp since it was on my way. There's lots of pretty places to see there at sunset. I just didn't stand in front of any of them.

I like the comp here - since you are okay w/critique, I might take 1-2 inches off the bottom.
I think it might 'weight' the picture in a more dynamic way if that makes any sense at all- lol.

"You have to milk the cow quite a lot, and get plenty of milk to get a little cheese." Henri Cartier-Bresson from The Decisive Moment.
I like the texture of the ground how it has all the little ridges, adds to the photo.
Love the look of the trees here BF. If it were me, I would crop all the water on the right side off, just after that dark tree. This would really make the image all about the trees, which to me is the most interesting part of the whole scene.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
Love the mood and textures in the ground. I agree with HBG's crop. I find the brightness of the water a little distracting and takes your eye away from the main subject of the image.
